(KTVI)-One guy who never horsed around on a baseball diamond was David Eckstein. At just 5′ 6” and 170 pounds, Eckstein won 2 World Series championships and of course, around these parts, Eckstein will also be remembered as the man who captured the Most Valuable Player award in the 2006 World Series.
Eckstein was recently in town signing autographs and greeting fans at the opening of Menard’s out in St. Peters. Eckstein was supposed to sign autographs for just two hours, from 6 to 8 pm, but the line to see him wrapped about the entire building. Eckstein stayed for five hours, signing for every person in line.
